I am voting for him too. They could run Pluto (the dog) against Deters and I would vote for Pluto!

So in other words, Hamilton County Republicans are the state's rejects.

I agree that is quite the shocker.

The only thing I can think of.....

And it's not like I'm Mr. Political Insider or any of that, but it's a not-well-kept secret that, as a general rule, whenever a politician under investigation makes a lateral (or in this case, backwards) move, it's the result of some kind of bargain, i.e. we won't indict you if you leave.

Joe had his eyes on the Governor's office, perhaps even higher. Coming back to the prosecutor's office does not help him in any way. It's obvious the man has more baggage than a carousel at Dulles on Thanksgiving weekend. I think this was the State's way of getting rid of him without having to get rid of him.

Not all of them, Reason. But, as a general rule, politicians use the prosecutor's office as a springboard to bigger and better things (e.g Charles Keating, John Kerry, Janet Reno, et al) Joe was quite the ambitious young prosecutor. It makes no sense to move forward, then come backwards, especially at his young age. It's not like he was ready to retire or anything.

Like I said, just a suspicion, I have no concrete evidence although it is unquestioned that he is being investigated and has been most of his career.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Did you see the latest Enquirer endorsement? O'Dell Owens over Carl Parrott for Coroner.

Even the ultra conservative Enquirer sees some need to clean house.

In the case of Grossman, I think the Enquirer is punishing him for his blatant rip-off of my man Jim Raussen's color-scheme for political signs. And rightfully so.

In the case of the coroner, for the love of all things holy why do we elect this position? How the hell do you campaign for it? I can do autopsies better than my opponent. Oh yeah? Well I did autopsies next to your opponent in Vietnam, and he did them better than you.

    I mean, God almighty......

Yeah, I don't understand why coroners are elected either. They perform technical medical procedures. Why don't we elect ob-gyns to do their jobs?

So what's the controversy with Parrot? Why is there a need to clean house?
